The liquid distributor DT 1 is an orifice type distributor with holed troughs that are fed by a parting box. This parting box is located above the troughs and usually fed by a feed-pipe.

Distributors of this type are usually installed in columns with a diameter > 800mm.

The distributor is used for liquid velocities between 5 m³/m²h and 80 m³/m²h and gas capacity factors up to 2.5 Pa^0.5. The standard loading range of the distributor is 2:1
